What a week!
So, I didn't have much of an opportunity to blog this past week. It has been pretty hectic. I'll just spotlight some of the REALLY interesting things that have happened.
Paul and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Monday. He took me out to a nice restaurant (Theodore accompanied us while Susan baby sat Lizzy and Martin). This day also marked Paul's 6th year in the ministry and Elizabeth's Baptismal birthday.
Susan started B-ball camp.
Theodore cut his third tooth...finally.
Martin fell so many times I lost track...he has the scrapes, bumps, and bruises to prove it. In fact, one of his scabs busted open while we were at Wal-mart and you would've thought he was getting his arm amputated with all of his crying! I had 5 Wal-mart employees check to make sure he was okay. He got a free sugar cookie out of the gig...not bad!
Elizabeth is already annoyed with Martin "following her around" this summer. The same day as Martin's Wal-mart drama, Lizzy dropped a glass jar of baby dill pickles in the check-out isle. To her credit she was trying to help me unload the cart...I think Wal-mart was glad to see us leave that day.
I started my annual gardening in the park work and towed my kids and the two I baby sit with me (I was soooo exhausted the next day).
Paul is gearing up for his summer on-line teaching at a local community college.
And I thought the summer break was going to be relaxing! Ha!
All in all, it has turned out well.
Next week Elizabeth begins swim lessons and we get ready to send Susan off for her People to People Student Ambassador trip to western Europe. I plan to keep everyone posted on her itinerary while she is away through my blog. Let's just hope I do a better job than what I have done this past week!

Hi Amy,
Congratulations on your anniversary! Bethany's baptismal birthday is on our anniversary, too. Makes it easy to remember, doesn't it?
Guess what? Matthew still doesn't have any teeth, and the doctor says none are impending. This will be the first kid I've ever heard of that will need dentures to eat his first piece of birthday cake.
Your Wal-Mart adventure reminded me of my recent trip to the DMV. There was a long line (imagine that!) but since I was going on a Thursday morning, I thought there wouldn't be. So, I didn't bring along anything to entertain the children. Bethany spent the first 15 minutes saying "When are we going home?" and flatly refusing to play any game I suggested.
Then, Matthew spit up (and I mean major spit up) all over the floor. So, I had to run to the car for wipes to clean it up. In the meantime, Bethany decided to walk through it and make footprints all over the floor.
About this time, our number was called, and I suddenly realized that in the tumult of cleaning up my children's mess, I'd lost the title to my car, which I needed for the business I was conducting. Several sympathetic onlookers (by this time we were the focus of everyone's attention) helped me look for it, and we finally found it in-of all places, my purse.
I used to look at mothers like me and shake my head. Now I know.
Hope Susan has a wonderful time on her trip!

Sorry about your DMV adventure, but thanks for the good laugh! It's good to know I'm not alone!
