Been Busy
Well, I haven't been writing this week because I have really expanded Mother's Day into this week. Actually, with the end of school approaching next Tuesday, we have been busy with various school activities. Spring concert and awards ceremony for Susan--she did very well. Ballet recital practice for Elizabeth....the list goes on. I am really looking forward to summer vacation, letting the kids sleep in a bit, and not having such a hectic schedule.
Susan is looking forward to her People to People Student Ambassador trip to western Europe. I believe it is 31 days away! I'm starting to get a little nervous about her going overseas without me. She'll be fine, she is a very resourceful young lady.
I'm working on another chapter in my book. It is centering around feminism as a direct decline to the family structure and society in general. Being a "Generation X-er" it is quite interesting to look into this topic; I hope I can add a perspective that is insightful.
Ironically, I picked up a book called "Home-Making" by Rev. J.R. Miller, at a garage sale for Tri-State Family Services (a crisis pregnancy agency). It was first published in 1882. It basically outlines the different roles of husbands, wives, children, siblings, etc. I love to look through books that contain pre-feminism ideals. I don't think it is a bad thing to review some of the concepts of these books and try to apply some of this into our own family lives. I hope it will give me something good to write about in my book.

Sign me up for a copy of your book. It sounds like an interesting read!
It was great to see your mom recently. She tells me Theodore is crawling now. So is Matthew. I'm tired. He is fascinated by brooms and Beth's potty chair. I'm really tired.
Your blog is giving me a lot to think about. Keep writing!

Brooms and potty chairs, that is quite a combo! He is destined to be an excellent janitor...Martin loves brooms, mops, the vacuum cleaner, duster, etc. At least Matthew it is not chewing electrical cords. Theodore loves to get his chubby little hands on them! Theo's new name is NO-NO!
