Brother headed for Nebraska
We have been out of town the past few days (sorry for ot responding lately). My brother, Jon, received his call into the ministry. He has been called to a congregation in Brule, Nebraska. My brother and his wife seem to be very happy with it and we are very happy for them.
Considering that there were 13 men from the seminary at Ft. Wayne (and I think 18 from the St. Louis seminary) that did not receive a call, we are very thankful that he was not one of them. We continue to pray for the men who are awaiting a divine call into the ministry. I know that there are plenty of vacancies within our synod. I hope that some of those churches will be moved to call a candidate from the seminary once they learn of the lack of calling congregations.
Anyway, we will vacationing in exotic Brule, Nebraska, this summer for Jon's ordination and installation!

Yay!! Do we get to keep Corky again? I miss him already. Tom squashed my request for a small house dog. So I will just have to borrow yours. I didn't realize that I missed having a little dog.

If you are up to the challenge we sure would appreciate it! And many thanks for letting Corky invade your home.
He is a good dog when he wants to be!
