So much for clean up

Tonight I was working with Elizabeth and Martin to clean up their room.  It always seems to be in a state of disaster.  Anyway, I told Martin to take a car toy downstairs.  He was too afraid to go all the way down and decided to place the car on the top step.  I was on my way to take the basket of dirty laundry downstairs from their room.  I didn't make it.  My foot met the car toy on that first step and I fell hard, right on my tailbone with my elbows hitting the step as well.  My poor backside is bruised and I feel like I got hit by a train.

I'll probably be making an early visit to my chiropractor.  I usually go every 3 weeks to help decrease the occurance of migraines, but I can already tell my back is not right.

The good in all of this is that Susan came running to help me and the kids took the laundry (which was strewn all down the steps) to the washing machine for me.

Oh, and Martin said he was sorry and gave me a kiss.

I just got done folding 6 out of the 7 loads of laundry I did today.  I got a lot of exercise climbing those stairs.
My back feels a little better.  Hurts to touch it.
Paul has many talents, doing the laundry isn't one of them.  I don't really mind all that much.  The part I don't like is dispersing the laundry to the different rooms and getting the stuff put away.

Oh, c'mon now. Are you saying that my method of separating laundry into darks, whites, and everything else is not good?

Boy do I feel your pain -- I hope your back feels better soon! On a positive note, at least the laundry was dirty and not freshy folded.

Amen!  Believe it or not, today my back feels worse than yesterday.  Must be that mid-30's delayed pain response.  Ah well, push through the pain!!!!

Gosh that seems par for the course with my back. I might have a small reprieve for a day or so and then the "just kidding -- you're hurt" reactions sets in. Darn. We're not young anymore.
